I’m sharing my favorite beauty and fashion items for the year!
It’s hard to believe that 2016 is already here! Let’s take one last look at the things that brought me joy in 2015.
I was so into candles this year. It was hard to pick just one favorite, but I think this is it. It’s complex- orangey and piney with spices and so luxurious smelling. Perfect for watching Christmas movies and faking that ‘real tree’ smell!
My skin changed from normal to dry this year and it has been flake city on my face. This is my current moisturizer. It’s very hydrating, but absorbs quickly.
no contest favorite lip color, worn for most of spring and summer, a my-lips-but-pinker color
This is perfect for slapping on your face when you’ve hit snooze five times. Literally zero thought required for your groggy morning brain.
This scarf is warm and goes with most outfits. You might think it’s a bit much, but it adds a touch of sophistication to your most boring outfits. This is probably the most complimented accessory I have (which obviously makes it my favorite).
It seems like every beauty guru has talked this up as the greatest lip balm ever. I was doubtful that any lip balm could be worth $22.50, but picked up a sample early in the year because why not? I was wrong, so so wrong. This feels so great- much less waxy than any other lip balm I’ve tried. You win again, beauty gurus.
Need I say more? I got a bunch of pairs from Target and have been slowly upgrading to nicer quality based on how much I wear them.
I am so glad turtlenecks are back in style because I love a warm neck. I think this looks so chic paired with black jeans or a white skirt, using accessories for a pop of color.
This is one of those lit-from-within, glowing goddess highlighters. It’s not BAM in your face like Becca highlighters, but one of those products that hopefully tricks people into thinking your skin is actually radiant like a magical unicorn. I was initially scared of the purple, but it ends up looking fine.
Another sample I fell in love with- curse you Sephora! I hoarded multiple samples of this until I finally caved and bought a roller ball. I don’t go through perfume that fast so hopefully it lasts me a while (doubt it).
