Most of my goals in 2016 are health related. I’ve been feeling out of shape and unhealthy with the start of my first real job this past year. I want to re-learn healthy habits for both exercise and nutrition.
I’ve been eating the same meals over and over again- good for the budget, bad for the body. I do eat fruits and vegetables, but it’s mostly mixed with lots of carbs or the same type throughout the week. As a vegetarian, I should be taking a supplement. I’m probably low in calcium, iron, and vitamin D.
Sitting all day long has also been hard on my lower back. Through yoga I hope to stretch those tight muscles and strengthen my core. I also find Jen Hilman’s videos easy to follow and calming.
I also want to commit to maintaining a presence on this blog and starting a YouTube channel. In the past I have had the habit of starting tons of projects, but never finishing them. I think breaking these new projects into smaller chunks- just one post or video at a time- will make it easier to complete the larger goals of starting a blog and channel.
